Azhwar – The Immersed Ones

The term "Azhwar" means "one who is immersed" – specifically, those who are immersed in divine grace. Azhwars are considered to be blessed due to the divine qualities seen in their lives. They are often regarded as the attendants and weapons of Lord Vishnu in the tradition of Vaishnavism. This belief is rooted in the concept of avatars, one of the core principles of Vaishnavism. Azhwars, who are deeply devoted to Lord Vishnu, are sometimes seen as embodiments of his various attributes and divine ornaments. We have posted talks on YouTube about Nammazhwar, Madhurakavi Azhwar and Thondaradipodi Azhwar.
